Victor Manuel Garcia

Victor Manuel was born in Havana in 1897. His vocation for painting appears very early; and enrollment in 1910 at the San Alejandro Academy where he is a disciple of Leopoldo Romañach , and a year later he was appointed professor of drawing. Installs its first exhibition in the galleries, Havana.

 

In 1925 the concerns by changing the system of artistic expression in Cuba push him to travel for the first time to Europe . Victor Manuel begins to sign during his stay in Paris , where he met the works of early Italian and also those made ​​by impressionists and post-impressionists.
