Ruben Aplizar

Rubén Alpízar Quintana is Cuban contemporary artist born in Santiago de Cuba in 1965. He studied mainly at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana. His most recent solo exhibitions have been: The dizziness of freedom, Museum of the Americas, San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1999 and in 2000 with the same title at the La Acacia Gallery, Havana; in 2000. The Great Game, Gallery 23 and 12 Collateral to the Havana Biennial VII; in 2003 to live the story, collateral exposure VIII Havana Biennial in the Convent of St. Francis of Assisi, the exhibition was shown in December of that year at the Gallery "304 Area", San Juan, Puerto Rico with Continued Myth title and in 2005 the reconstruction of the events in the "San Antonio Maria Claret", Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and Cuban Barbecue Express, Gallery Havana Club Rum Museum, City Cultural and Missionary Animation Center Havana, Cuba.
