Jose Luis Fariñas

Painter, draftsman, illustrator and writer. Member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba. Of his oil paintings are preserved in the Americas Art Museum, Denver; Mizel Jewish Museum, Colorado Center and the Jewish Museum, Pittsburgh. Graduated with Gold title in "San Alejandro", studied at the Superior Institute of Art from 1991 to 1995. Has made ​​twenty solo exhibitions and seventy-seven collective. She has given workshops and lectures at universities and museums in New York, Colorado, Florida and Pennsylvania. In 1995 he received the Medal of NOMA Recognition Award, UNESCO, illustration. He has received national awards and citations as a painter and draftsman.
