Carlos Estévez

Carlos Estévez is a cuban painter who was born in Havana Cuba in 1969. Art has always been a lifelong journey for Carlos Estévez since a very young age, beginning his studies at the Escuela Elemental de Artes Plásticas 20 de Octubre in Havana, Cuba, followed by his studies in Havana's San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts, and later to the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) also located in Havana.

Carlos Estévez has been a part of many artist residencies such as the Félix González-Torres Community Art Project for the Florida International University in Miami, Florida, the Boston Arts Academy, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France, the Sacatar Foundation in Salvador, Bahía, Brazil, the OMI International Arts Center, in New York,

the National Autonome University of Mexico among many more residences.
