Fidelio Ponce

Fidelio Ponce was a cuban artist born in Camaguey on January 25 of 1895, his real name was Alfredo Ramón Fuentes Peace Jesus Pons. At age 20 he enrolled in the School of Fine Arts of San Alejandro , where he attended irregularly, but always obtained outstanding grades. From a young frequented taverns, cafes and bars and started his addiction to Alcohol .

 

He left his mark on the forgotten places, offered his art to the humble people. On his pilgrimage he taught the children of the poorest neighborhoods and often painted in bars and taverns just to eat.
